ABOUT US

History
Officially opening in June 2007, Treasured Tots is a family ran home daycare located in central Hamilton, Ontario (Gage Park Area). As many know making the decision to return to work after your leave is over is hard to do. With two beautiful young children, returning to work meant something different to me. It might starting my own home based business by proving loving child care to others out there. It first started when a couple of my family friends decided to return to work and asked if I would mind watching their children along with mine until I decided to return to work. From there it developed into a full service Home Daycare.

Our Mission
Treasured Tots believes that all children have the right to grow and learn in a child friendly, home like atmosphere. Our goal is to provided this nurturing, loving and secure environment were children will acquire the skills necessary to prepare them for the formative preschool years, all while having fun!

Licensed Care Provider

Treasured Tots Daycare is registered with a local agency as a licensed home care provider in the City of Hamilton under the provincial Day Nurseries Act. This requires regularly (monthly) visits and assessments of our Daycare facility to ensure that the highest standards of health, safety, nutrition and child development are being met. Our current assessments are always posted on our bulletin board. We also attend monthly workshops provided by Ontario Early Years, Parent Links.... for earlier childhood education and development.

Current CPR and First Aid Infant/Toddler Certificate
Police Clearance Certificate for all staff over 16 years of age (including volunteer staff)
Fully updated Medical and Immunization Records for all staff and daycare children

Name: Gwen Position: Child Care Provider Certifications: First Aid, CPR Hobbies: Scrap Booking, Websites More about me: I am a 32 year old mother of two Sebastian (Nov 2005) and Sierra (October 2006) and have lived and worked in Hamilton all of my life. The home to which the child care is ran out of I have owned for over 8 years now. When becoming a mother not so long ago my life long dream of loving and raise a child was finally realized. Being apart of a child's life, (mine or yours) is a very important responsibility, and one that I take much pride and precautions with. My goal is to make an impact on everyone that comes into my life. To spread the love and joy of life through a smile! My work background is in Project Management, Administration and Event Management.	Name: (Auntie) Connie Position: Child Care Helper Hobbies: Drawing, Dancing spending time with friends and family. More about me: I am a 29 year old auntie of two.. (Sebastian & Sierra). I love spending time with children and youth dancing, making crafts and going to the park. Having a learning disability early in life I have focused a lot of my attention on helping disabled youths learn life skills and basic education. I have worked with the Hamilton Salvation Army as a "Life Skills Coach" for the past six years and enjoy working with the children in the daycare.

I love spending time with my children and take joy in watching them discover and learn new things. Working the evening shift as allowed me to spend time at home and help around the daycare.	Name: Sebastian Position: Smile Creator Hobbies: Exploring, Hiding Remotes, Playing the Drums More about me: Well they call me the "Funny Guy". Not that I am funny looking! I love exploring around the house and anywhere that I go. I love to meet new people and friends and I love to laugh! Dance is one of my talents. Just ask me to dance and you'll see!
Name: Sierra Position: The Cutie One Hobbies: Creative Arts, Singing, Dancing More about me: I love to draw and make crafts.. that is my favorite time of the day! I tend to hum really loud when I am working on something... funny thing is.. everyone starts humming along with me!
